I plan on 10 years; currently sitting at 7 years. I was at 6 years on July 29th and added FAAH exclusively to 80 cores that was running UGM. I still have cores assigned to UGM. Once I get 10 years, I might toss them to OET to get to 2 years before putting those 80 cores back to mainly UGM but some CEP2 to get a 10 year badge there as well. I want to get to 100 years on UGM. U r right...lets make new badges...10y D race begins...crunching FA@h with opt in assigned! ![]() |

Was that homework for me to find out for you ;O)
----------------------------------------11,000 batches is what we know, 1,000 per batch makes 11 million that is by taking the 3 zeros and adding them at the end of the 11,000 making 11,000,000 :) Today's projection is 400,000 completed, so that makes this set estimate 11,000,000 divvied by 400,000 is 27,5 days. Add some fault / wingman factor and it's 30 days to EOPNW (End of presently known work). Dr.Santiago made a promise, but guess his heart somehow wandered off and the status page [just returned website], was not into it anymore. http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/status Edit: Another member estimated [in this thread] 50-100 million results... then it is 4 to 8 months at 400K daily results speed [the feeder priority was going to be kept lower for FAHV]. Lots of time. Either way, the burned-shy acumen applies... official estimates for techland will be those showing on the Research summary page. https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=497062 [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 3, 2015 7:16:14 PM] |

11,881 Vina batches were never submitted! I believe my prior calculation of exactly 11,881 Vina batches was accurate, so I'll stick with that number (rather than "11,000").How many batches per day does the FA@H crunching crew typically pulverize? ------ According to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/vi...amp;numRecordsPerPage=365 the high point looks like 5/28/15, when 796,402 results were returned (74 years, 171 days of computing time, earning 108,340 K points). ------ So now the question is: How many results does a single batch generate? "one AutoDock "batch" involves docking up to 1,000 compounds, while one AD Vina batch involves docking up to 10,000 compounds" http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/status ------ I therefore guesstimate 50 to 100 million results still to be returned, providing at least 60-90 days of crunching activity... Since these are Vina batches, and since Vina batches dock up to 10,000 compounds, the figure of 1,000 per batch seems low. Admittedly, the 10,000 is a maximum figure rather than an average, but in the absence of any evidence as to what the average is, 5,000 seems to be the most reasonable number to work with. Accepting the estimate of 400,000 results per day, here's the math: 11,881 * 5,000 = 59,405,000 total results 59,405,000 results / 400,000 results per day = 148 days = 4.95 months |

I' m down with chipping in again for people who are close to the deadline. That brought me a lot more happiness than I expected!
----------------------------------------I'm just hoping I can finish my next MCM before the inevitable scramble at FA@H. *crosses fingers* ![]() |

Snip
Accepting the estimate of 400,000 results per day, here's the math: 11,881 * 5,000 = 59,405,000 total results 59,405,000 results / 400,000 results per day = 148 days = 4.95 months The actual, would you believe, turned 400,079. Whether we are in a gear up [those who left returning to finish this set off], or it was a 'Good Monday start for the week', pretty cool to see the algos work. My mind was hazy on the 1000/batch, but on reflection was watching myself and 10K the numbers ran up to is what it was per batch. If the high number, the percent on the Research page will be going down a few points, and an EOP [for the phase ;], might not even show i.e. it's further out than 6 months. Good as it gives a second app for the Androids to choose :D. EOP there won't be anyway as the BEDAM phase is hot on the trail as successor. Long running task and relatively light on Windows, at least the 22 my 2 Win comps had [Not expecting them to be ported to a mobile version though] |

Well, I propose a yet another method of computing ECD.
----------------------------------------![]() The latest WU I received is named FAHV_x1HEG-AS_0899675_0704_0 with 899675 pretty much resembling the batch number. Assuming also that the batches are of the same complexity, let's do the math: Starting: Jul 24, batch no. 896692. Current: Aug 06, batch no. 899675 -> approx. 229 batches/day. Remaining: 8898 batches, about 39 days at this rate. ECD: Sep 14. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Enchanted at Aug 6, 2015 8:10:08 PM] |

And the 0704 looks like the result number. Right now I have numbers ranging from 0259 to 2288 for that figure.
