Indeed thank you, Dr. Olson.
----------------------------------------Virtual screening of new and promising AIDS/HIV targets will also continue, but we, with the participation of Prof. Ron Levy at Temple University, will also be using the computational power of FAAH to examine the existing results to determine the most likely candidates for further experimental evaluation. It is indeed sad to lose someone so familiar with the interface between the labs and WCG, especially as it seems there is some work left to be done. Hopefully in the coming months we will see the remaining FAAH1 units issued and beta units for FAAH2 released.
It is good to hear about the progress of the project and the new computation techniques that are being used to improve the screening of compounds. Hopefully this will lead to some breakthroughs with new drugs. |

A visualization of what 'sacking' a quarterback is, (not needed of course for the All Americans amongst us :) http://ww2.hdnux.com/photos/15/15/47/3463645/13/628x471.jpg

We're also in the process of downloading and readying the 10k+ FAHV batches Daniel mentioned in his post above. This should be completed in the next few days and new work units will begin to be sent out then.

I interpret Dr. Olson's statement to mean that the entire premise of this thread (FA@H completion) is false
and that FA@H will continue crunching for as long as it takes to eradicate HIV! ![]() |

Which reminds me Papa3, did you make it to your 200 year goal? If not, and a 2~3 month supply.of WUs appears, can you make it?

Thanks Art for this heads-up. Really appreciated.

For my 200-year goal (assuming the same number of active platforms), I'm looking at 5 more months.
If my interpretation of Dr. Olson's statement is correct, there will be new FA@H work coming along after the currently pending batches are crunched, so in that case all I need to do is watch myself cross the 200-year line as 2015 draws to a close. ![]() If incorrect, currently pending batches will not be followed by new work but since the fake ECD probably drove a lot of crunchers away from FA@H to other projects, it's possible that the currently pending batches will actually last 5 or 6 months.Right now what I am looking for is a specific confirmation or clarification from Dr. Olson detailing his crunching plan for FA@H once the currently pending batches are done. ![]() |

Look at the thread title. ECD = Estimated Completion Date
