Just sent out a couple of e-mails to the biggest newspapers and TV networks here in Portugal suggesting a report on World Community Grid.

Going by the project page, a typical task will take about 1.5 hours. How big are the downloads and uploads and how often does OET checkpoint?

Why is this project opened, when the Beta tests are still not working correcly?

Going by the project page, a typical task will take about 1.5 hours. How big are the downloads and uploads and how often does OET checkpoint? From the system requirement page looks like downloads are 0.2 MB and uploads are 0.1 MB. Nothing about checkpoints there though.  AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (8 cores/16 threads)@3.85 GHz, 32 GB RAM 7x Dual Intel Xeon E5-2640 (2 x 6 cores/12 threads)@2.5 GHz, 256 GB RAM |

Why is this project opened, when the Beta tests are still not working correcly? Why not? It depends on how many errors occured in the Beta test. I got 45 Beta wu all valid on three devices with different os, except one where the runtime exceeded the given limit. This happened a few weeks ago on fight aids too, a project that is running many years now.  |

Will the cure be patented? It is a fundamental requirement of Projects being accepted for WCG that the data produced is freely available on an open source basis. |
