"Don't mind him. He's usually like that!"

Oh dear, our house spout 11 had to have it's say again. Potty training rarely stretches beyond the age of 12 months. nerd

Er.
Do you talk to me ?

Don't mind him. He's usually like that!

Anyway...WCG hasn't got a project, 'cause scientist are not working with the software it was developed, like the one they have on GPUgrid...so, if you fancy using yours GPUs also, for human science - go there!
If you fancy something else, there's also SETi@home & Einstein@home for "star lovers"...
Many other informations you can find here: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/GPU_computing
wink

Many thanks for the link and for the heads up.
Such guys you find everywhere. I always say: if he's doing it, he needs it for himself, or he would not do it wink

It is a shame that WCG doesn't have any GPU work, hopefully they will in the future. All is cool here :-))

I would also like to see GPU Projects my GTX760 is most of the time free for computing :( since I bought it I've seen no WCG Project on it.

While I'm waiting for a WCG GPU project, I'm using my GTX 1080 mostly on GPUGRID:

GPUGRID
http://www.gpugrid.net/

They have work similar to that on WCG, but their work needs GPU speed enough that they do not want to put an extra layer of servers (such as WCG) between them and the users.

Also, I have studied CUDA, so that if I can find suitable online courses in OpenCL and in BOINC programming (under Windows only), I plan to to offer suitable projects a chance to have their applications modified to run mostly on GPUs.

Re: What's with the laziness, why no GPU projects?!?

Why not just offer CUDA assistance now? Nothing says the application has to be OpenCL.

I've tried that, on another BOINC project. They sent me a link to their source code, but I could not find a good starting point in understanding the source code, such as which routine in which file is the starting point for running the program (known as the main program in some computer languages). Also, the source code made heavy use of a multi-threading library I have not studied before.

In other words, it looks like I need an online course in BOINC programming before I can get started, and perhaps a few other things as well.
