Re: minix neo X8-H

It has Android and an ARM CPU. It should work.
But bear in mind that Android devices are currently producing lots, lots and lots of errors.

- AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W

Are you sure ? Currently - as far as the result status goes back in history - my three androids produce valid results, 1x DualCore and 2x QuadCores, fully loaded on all cores.

Re: minix neo X8-H

The current table of wuprop participating devices that are contributing to wcg. http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/results/arm.py?pro...n=FightAIDS%40Home+-+Vina

Since the data seemed to have reset some week ago, not much history, but still there are about 45-50 different device types that also send statistical work unit information to wuprop. What's not clear about this is, if they only record tasks with a zero fail state, not counting erred results.

Re: minix neo X8-H

I'm using a neo x7 but it is not the optimum for boinc usage. The reason why is that the box has no air circulation and running the box with boinc causes the cpu to throttle down.
Mine is running with 1 GHz instead of 1,6 GHz.
If boinc is the only purpose for your minix I would recommend a hardkernel odroid u3 instead. With case, power unit, emmc or micro sd card and an active cpu cooler it is cheaper and gets you more power for the money.

I am with Eric Kaiser. If boinc is the only purpose get the ordroid-u3 with android or linux.

Last time I tried with my phone, yeah. Tasks hang and some had several wingmen that had lost countless CPU hours.

On my post - Result status all errors
https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,36911

My errors have stopped when I started with 1Gb ram and higher with Android.
None are phones, just boards with Android installed.
