I've removed the case completly. The neo x7 has a heatsink on the cpu out of the box. I've placed a case fan on the cpu. And a cooling package from the freezer.
----------------------------------------Guess what happened..... ..... ..... Nothing! So I reassembled the whole thingy and take it as it is. My opinion on minix neo x7 is: Too expensive and small output for boinc. ![]() |

But bear in mind that Android devices are currently producing lots, lots and lots of errors. Are you sure ? Currently - as far as the result status goes back in history - my three androids produce valid results, 1x DualCore and 2x QuadCores, fully loaded on all cores. Last time I tried with my phone, yeah. Tasks hang and some had several wingmen that had lost countless CPU hours. You talked about android devices all inclusive, but now you have singular experience (two months ago) ? How long was your testing phase across which time ? Talking about "... lots, lots and lots of errors" should be based on facts. Maybe other people from administration have these facts, please add such data. |

Just search the forums. No idea if there was any improvement since I tried last time though I doubt it since the application is still the same. I have attached again to my phone and I am going to check both my results and my wingmen's. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz [Edit 2 times, last edit by Falconet at Jul 26, 2014 11:59:29 AM] |

Yeah... been stuck at 49.9% for the past hour or so and one wingman already errored out at 0.38 hours.

The android error rate is greater than 80% or differently, over 6 copies on average are needed to get a valid result for the scientists. And for some weekend humoring us volunteers, was checking on one copy of my tablet, a _9, meaning at least 10 copies circulated, where _9 was declared valid.

On my android phone, I've had one valid result out of 23 since July 13th. So that's what? Just over a 4% success rate? Or IOW, right in line with the stats lavaflow has quoted.

Seems to have finished. Pending validation.
----------------------------------------Got two more, one with 3 errored wingmen and another with 7 errored wingmen. The facts are out there. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

These are my "facts", currently result status for 3 androids with 10 ARM cores: no errors, no invalids. Yes I had problems but not in the current period.

Congrats. Wish my and other people's phones were returning as many good results as your devices are.

Once your android has a series of 20 valid results, it is send zero redundant tasks too, meaning without verifying copies. The many _0 suffix results in the screenshot indicates most are the original root copy, meaning X1900AIW hardly gets to see the bad distributions. Last 3 my tablet had were 6-7-11 and all pending validation or verification. Since my tablet has a 1 in 10 fail on average, signal 11 mostly of overloaded, it hardly ever gets to the 'reliable' state, and get to see the down side of the instability in the 7.16 app version. Every error and invalid resets the 20 counter to zero, start from scratch. A vicious circle, lucky for us the metaphorical 22 was not chosen as control.
