Re: Mapping Cancer Markers - Temporarily disabled

Am I correct in saying that if we help with either a Fight AIDS or Clean Energy we will relieve pressure on the storage servers and this will enable Mapping Cancer Makers?

Re: Mapping Cancer Markers - Temporarily disabled

I bet that letting the tasks being given out now expire some days later than they do can let contributors get less nervous about this temporary issue. IMO.

Re: Mapping Cancer Markers - Temporarily disabled

An advance notice of shutting down this project would have been nice but for WCG to go into my projects and add FAAH flat out sucks. I had selected this project only so I know I did not do this.

Re: Mapping Cancer Markers - Temporarily disabled

This project was over subscribed probably purely because it is the only project that has shown real potential benefits to children = no other projects have shown any real significant results of anything - this is no way to run a project when its showing results shut it down

Are you sure that you did not have "If no tasks are available for my selected projects, then send me other projects" selected?

Re: Mapping Cancer Markers - Temporarily disabled

S_MDC_PROJECT, can you please reach for your nearest dictionary (either a 'dead tree version' or online), and look up the word "temporary". After that, please can you read the opening post (OP) in this thread - as that'll give you some clues as to what's currently happening.

I'm sure that, as soon as the issues WCG are currently experiencing have been resolved, we'll get MCM1 back on the menu.

Re: Mapping Cancer Markers - Temporarily disabled

The Temporary nature of the disablement has been further clarified by uplinger:
When we get back into normal uploads [estimated to be ~3 days] I will re-enable mcm1 but at a lower priority as to prevent large results from getting us again.
