Morning blueKnight

A couple of possibilities.

1) Are you running something like McAffee Parental controls. This notoriously messes with the Grid agent

2) Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Data Execution Protection and make sure only the "Turn on DEP for essential Windows Programs and Service only" is checked. Then reboot your system.

Let us know how you get on
Dave

i always had trouble with symantac internet suite. i finally gave up and decided that it would be better to run naked than put up with crappy software that stops my computers from doing what i want them to wink

and now for something completely different...... chicken

we finally got power back on after the hurricane passed

(paitently waiting for the applause and cheers to subside)

i know of one machine of mine (out of the three i have been able to check today) that didn't survive the power crash and power up process

(paitently waiting for the moaning, wailing and gnashing of teeth to subside)

by this time tomorrow, i should have a mostly complete inventory and a majority of my machines should be back online crunching for the team

(beginning to lose paitience with crowds display of excitement)

i see that while i was down stefan caught up with me (nice job stefan, you're only the second person to pass me since i joined in may - hats off to wilsondr for being the first) but now i will have to put forth a "shock and awe" attack to regain my place ahead of him (remember stefan, its all for the good of the team and the world) The battle starts now.

we now return you to our regularly scheduled program already in progress..........

by the way guys, i think it's time to start a new thread. once they get over 500 replies its harder to get to the end of the line.

keep on crunchin'!

Re: smile smile smile Join MyOnlineTeam Today! smile smile smile

Morning All

Finally settling into my new Job this will be day 12. I've never read so many docs than I have on this contract. (I just keep taking the pink Migraleve and I'm OK) It's an interesting project though, Telephone Calls over Broadband. It's just great not having to travel on the M25. It's still a journey of 1 1/2 hours but it's regularly just that, 1 1/2 hours, instead of it turning into 3,4 or even 5 hours as it does on the UK's most notorious motorway (Also known as the biggest car park in England)

Great to have you back safe and sound and crunching again parmesian and also great to see orca posting again. Orca where have you been?

Anyone got any theories on what happened to our usual awesome crunching output yesterday or has everyone been giving UDmon a whirl?

Anyway today's a Tuesday (Usually our most productive day of the week)
Let's see what tonights stats may bring. I think we might need to start a new recruitment campaign to make 60 Million by November 5th.

Keep those fans blowing for the World Community Grid
Dave
