Is the following important/relevant?

We are running the same version of the research application in this beta test as we have in production. In this test, we are looking to see if anyone encounters issues with the file downloads. We would also be curious to know if anyone is seeing faster downloads (particular outside of North America). However, this may be hard for people to observe with the relatively short beta.

There seem to be no more Beta tasks available at the moment. The work has been distributed. We are now watching to make sure that the results are completed as expected or if some computers are stuck trying to download. |

I am delighted to report that I downloaded three without incident (one 7.15 and two 7.06), which is not surprising since I don't use a software firewall. The only reason I mention it is that I turned off Beta testing a couple of months ago.
----------------------------------------In checking it out, I find that all three of my profiles have been set to the Default (and even the Default does not include Beta testing). No downloading problems, regarding its speed, I have slept during the Beta test, so I can not be of any help

We would also be curious to know if anyone is seeing faster downloads (particular outside of North America). However, this may be hard for people to observe with the relatively short beta. The bwdown value of a machine which received 3 betas had varied between about 53000 and 360000 in the past 3 months. The value now is 507193. |

(note that it will be binary characters, but if you see a lot of random characters then you were able to download it). Is this the only file that you had trouble downloading and the others download ok? What happens if you select it and click 'retry now'. thanks for the information |
