You don't get them... the duration depends on the speed of the device the results are processed on ;>)
(If clock cycle for clock cycle CPUs would be equal, a 2000MHz CPU doing 7 hours on a task, would take 3.5 hours on a 4000MHz CPU, and if this were Linux which has special muscle for integer calcs, it might work out half of that again :0) |

Thanks for the answer, SekeRob. I probably should configure a 64-bit Linux purely for WCG crunching (am using 64-bit Win 8.1 now). Shorter WUs just "feel" more fun to crunch.

The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 350,000,000 from cubes.
----------------------------------------Last 30 day average results: 506,872 Estimated end date using 30 day average: October 5, 2015 Percent Complete: 82.3777% The average length of a WU is currently running about 4.11 hours. If I look at the latest batch I have received, 14410, that would be about 82.34% complete. We are at about 4.06 more months of additional crunching at the current recent run rate. The days in past week averaged just about 4.5 hours per WU so they are still under to their target, but up a little from last week. The completion date has advanced again a couple of weeks. Production was down last week to just over 3.57 million WU's for the week. Cheers

Thx for the info. Let's just see how much of a boost we get after the end of FAH.

Thx for the info. Let's just see how much of a boost we get after the end of FAH. Well I recently (this week) dropped off of MCM. Every three to four days I was completing a year of CPU time. In the coming days as WU's are validated I'll surpass the 100 year mark and get the badge. With that being the current high mark, I have moved over to UGM to see what badge I can get there. Even if they added the 200 year badge, even at 3 days per year of CPU time, means about 10 years a month. Sure MCM could go beyond the current estimate of 4.5 months, but will it go at least ten months? I know I can get 100 years on UGM, so might as well as crunch there. My view on what I crunch on, will it benefit me? Anyone can get cancer, so I crunched cancer. UGM can help as well and could also provide a cure to various diseases and such. |
