Starting to worry... been brought up a number of times, e.g. Sgt.Joe and meself. Think armstrdj wrote it was being investigated [look for posts by armstrdj ;].

Scribe, do you mind next time posting the stderr of the results that have zero time and is valid.
Thanks, -Uplinger |

This looks like possibly one of the input files was corrupt. If any users see more of these please post the stderr and workunit name.
Thanks, armstrdj |

I am having a similar problem myself. When I see one of my machines doing it, I reset the BOINC manager. When it restarts, all of the tasks start back over at zero time elapsed. The percent complete stays at the correct value however. All of the tasks complete as valid though. I am running on OpenSUSE 13.1 and BOINC version 7.2.33 but I have also seen this problem with version 7.0.65.

ashrader330,
This looks like a different issue. The previous user did not actually do any work so the zero cpu time was valid but looked like an issue with the settings file not being read correctly. For yours it did the work just didn't return the cpu time correctly. For the stderr you posted I did not see any indication that it restarted so I assume you are just restarting the manager but not the client? I will investigate and see if there are any known issues or bugs with those versions of the BOINC client and any API versions. Do you ever see a zero cpu time for any other projects other than Mapping Cancer Markers? Thanks, armstrd |

I have not noticed this issue in any other WCG projects (lots of CEP2 and FAAH) and I have run the 7.0 series of BOINC since the HCC GPU time frame. I am not seeing it on the Windows machine I am running.
