We have updated the science application for Mapping Cancer Markers to 7.28. This has a few critical bug fixes.
1. Checkpointing on some work units caused work units to go invalid, this has been fixed. 2. Mac running 10.5.x should not error out immediately Thanks, -Uplinger |

So when will it be safe to allow machines that have to be closed down and not able to use LAIM to switch from FAAH to MCM?

For you, you can wait till all the 7.26 MCM repairs have flushed out the system... in about 14 days. For me, immediate. The odd 7.26 [repair] will still come my hosts' way, but that will not be many.
----------------------------------------A possible 'avoid' repairs is setting the buffer to > 2.45 days. Theory has it the server determines the MCM repairs wont come back in time. Try and you'll empirically discover. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 14, 2013 8:52:58 PM] |

Scribe,
It may take a few days for the resends for of 7.26 to clear out, but a majority of the work for mcm1 will be 7.28 from now on, all new will be 7.28. You can give it 7 days from now as that is the current deadline to let batches that started with 7.26 get to the resend due to time exceeded mark. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Scribe, having said that above, it's up to you when you feel comfortable switching to mcm1. If you switch now, i would estimate 95% of the results your computer would pull will be for version 7.28. But again, that is just my estimation.
Thanks, -Uplinger |

Yay, just what I've been waiting for! Over the weekend, I can leave my machines running so they should crunch some remaining 7.26 stuff, and after that, the new 7.28 jobs will survive the shutdowns :-)

Uplinger... I'm seeing a curious effect with ver 7.28. The WUs started out with a forecast of about 2.5 hrs duration (on one of my machines). After showing aprox 1.5 hrs elapsed and 1 hr to go to finish, the % of progress shows something like 25-30% when it should be showing something like 60-70% (the WUs still haven't finished). I'll keep an eye on them and see how they finish (I'll update this post). Just thought I'd let you know.
