Hello
I suggest that an option be included in the profile settings that would automatically send a message to the account holder if a result hasn't been returned in X amount of time (say a week). The reasoning is that I let a few old computers run unattended and so if there's a problem I don't really know about it unless I check my results and find I haven't been sending anything in for awhile. This did happened where I lost about a month of processing time before I discovered there was a problem. A notification would help me respond sooner. Colin |

Think this is a good one over and above the general mail to members [one time only I think], if the member account has not had a returned result at all in about 3 weeks.
----------------------------------------One excellent tool you can use is BOINCTasks. It allows to let it monitor all devices you have on a network. Have not looked close, but the developer of that tool is very responsive to feature request. Can see how the project view can have a column added that shows last result completed date/time, then turning red if greater than a specified period. edit: spell [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 12, 2013 2:29:33 PM] |

When I raised this point with admin sometime ago Tedi responded: We automatically send new members an email if they never attach a computer after registering and again if, after they attach a computer, they do not return a result within 21 days.

21 days seems too long for me. User setting or 3, 5 or 7 days just so I can get them back on line if something goes awry. It is my responsibility to check up on them but I don't too often.
