To transfer money from Ripple to your bank account, first you need to transfer the ripples to a gateway(like bitstamp.net). From there you can transfer to your bank account.
----------------------------------------Also, in the trade tab of your ripple wallet you can exchange your XRP for other currencies(BTC, USD, EUR, CHF, GBP, etc). So far I have traded some ripples for 4.27 dollars and some other ripples I used to trade with a forum user where I got 0.014BTC(currently worth $13.33) I haven't tried getting money from ripple to a gateway but I believe this is the way to do it. Also, you can send money to your BTC wallet directly from ripple(just convert XRP to BTC in the trade section and then go to the "send" section and paste your BTC address. It should automatically recognize it as a BTC address). ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

Movieman: Thanks buddy, but there's no reason everyone shouldn't benefit. You've done more for WCG than anyone I know. IIRC, when XS had that catastrophic system failure a few years ago and we were all camping out at the TechPowerUP! forum, you were one of the people who helped get the folks over at TPU psyched about crunching. In fact many would say that was your baby. Now they're ranked number 11 with just over a hundred active members and are one of the hardest crunching teams here. And that's just one example that I know about, I'm sure there are many more. So if we want to talk about people who deserve to be rewarded . . .
---------------------------------------- Jack: Continue to keep an eye on your credits but you should see bumps every so often. I've seen them every couple thousand XRPs which in my case is every few days. So I don't know if the updates depend on a time interval or XRP intervals. I had a couple rigs down for several days and noticed that the updates seemed to take longer so it might be by XRP interval, but I'm really guessing here. I'm sure things will work but keep trying, be patient and keep us posted. Falconet: Thanks man. I was going to spend the $10 to get some XRP into my wallet just for yuks to see what happens but then I realized that I had set my first wallet up under an ID different from my user name. So I then set up another ID under twilyth. I'll wait a while to see if that makes any difference but I'm guessing it doesn't. If not, then I'll probably try to fund the wallet at some point. Thanks again for the information. ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by twilyth at Dec 10, 2013 6:57:14 PM] |

twilyth,
----------------------------------------You aren't receiving your XRP on your ripple wallet or did I misunderstood that? Edit: After creating a Ripple wallet, you need to go to computingforgood.org, click register, scroll down and enter your "Ripple Public Address", your WCG username and your WCG verification code. I receive XRP pretty much daily. Today it was 42 XRP. and have received a total of 268 XRP. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz [Edit 1 times, last edit by Falconet at Dec 10, 2013 7:07:08 PM] |

Right, because I didn't set up the wallet with the same user id - at least I guess that was the reason, but IDK.
----------------------------------------Or maybe it was because I registered at Computing for Good first? I don't remember how I did it now. I don't even remember setting up the wallet in the first place to be honest. The only reason I even have a record of it is because I copied everything into evernote. I get regular increases in my XRP credits on CFG but there's nothing in the initial Ripple wallet I set up when I registered with CFG. ![]() ![]() |

OK, I don't know what I did but this time I set up the wallet with the original id using my secret key and it shows 8300 XRP and change.
----------------------------------------Thanks again buddy. ![]() ![]() |

Well you have only register at Computing for Good after you had a Ripple wallet otherwise it wouldn't allow you. I really have no idea why you haven't received your XRP. I doubt it's because of the user ID. Wouldn't make much sense being forced to use the same at both WCG and Ripple. But I am not a Ripple expert so...

Yeah, I must have realized that and just forgot. I hate registering for stuff so I just go through the motions and record everything in Evernote. Once I'm done, I completely forget about it. I just refuse to dedicate any memory space to mundane details like that but my stubbornness quite often comes back to bite me in the butt as it did here.
----------------------------------------Anyway, as I mentioned a moment ago, I'm all set now thanks to your assistance. I set up the wallet again with the original id but this time entered my secret key and it now shows the total number of XRPs I've been credited at Computing for Good so I'm all set. I really appreciate the help. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

twilyth, looks like we in the same boat... I'm accruing hours at computing for good, but no ripples or answer from my email to their support, they are overwhelmed by posts on the ripple forums, I suspect. I went and funded my wallet (by selling a litecoin), but it doesn't seem to matter. @Jack007. Shoot me an e-mail when you can.

Jack007: Once I had my wallet set up properly, it showed more XRPs than the CFG site did so I think that gets updated daily. If you aren't seeing anything getting credited to your wallet, make sure to use your secret key in setting it up. That's what I had to do.
----------------------------------------And like they say when you created the account, don't ever lose that key. That's why I use Evernote for everything. I keep a copy of everything on every computer that runs the program plus it's backed up to the cloud. ![]() ![]() |

You are welcome.
