Jack007,
Did you use your secret account key when you set up your wallet? If not, try re-registering for your wallet but this time click on "Need to use your Secret Key? Use Key" and use the secret account key you received when you signed up at computingforgood.org. This will overwrite the old key and link the wallet to your WCG account. When this is done you can see that xrp is being accumulated on a daily basis. Anyway, this worked for me. All the ripple.com instructions and ripple.com/forum help assume we are creating our wallet first and then joining WCG. I suspect that most of us here are doing it the other way around. This requires doing what I suggest above. Good luck. |

This requires doing what I suggest above. Good luck. I thank you in advance, others have mention about the secret key, but could never find out where to put it. Also hope it doesn't overwrite my wallet as i have 500 rips in there. I'm gonna move them actually since i have another account elsewhere (not a wallet a trading one) EDIT: I can't use my secret key because there is nowhere (I can find) to PUT it. I get user name, wallet address, and wcg verification. I try to enter that says user name already taken. I'm doing this from the computingforgood site. Unless they help me at ripple i'm pretty sure i'm screwed. about 90 bucks in ripples so far... if it was just points i wouldnt be so annoyed. EDIT: ok there's hope, i've been going at this from computingforgood.org but at ripple.com is where the secret key comes in. I'll update right after i try it. I hope it's something this simple and stupid. EDIT:hmmm, i was able to enter secret key, and poof back to my wallet (still with the 31.99 rips in it) but history wouldnt load, my exchange info (with address) still there. I'm hoping it rewrote over my wallet which is why history is gone, and i'm also hoping it works. Even if I don't get backpay for the 6 or 7 hundred thousand points, if its starts today or tomorrow it's all gravy. The worst thing is the 2 weeks (and counting) that this has taken. No that's not true, the worst thing is the support assuming it worked. Even litecoin which should be harder (took me and an IT friend 4 hours to eventually download it to a thumbdrive (and make it bootable)). 4 hours, frustrating but extremely satisfying to hear the fan goin full tilt on the GPU. To all of you who made suggestions and helped me get close THANK YOU VERY MUCH . To anyone who hasn't tried this yet there is a video, it's a little blurry full screen but that's where i got the clue that I was at the wrong web site. Here's the link hope it helps. (So yes Sekerob Ive been over at ripple forums for some time trying to get this going, and my help has come from both this team thread and a few threads over there and the AH HA moment from this video when i saw at the bottom the place to enter the secret code and the web address. WARNING, the guy doesn't mention (so far only partway through video i will watch the rest now) the secret code so it might now work for those who already have accounts the way he says to do it, I DON'T KNOW! (Yes he does mention code but just to say write it down and save it mainly). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFxHlEQxHQo Watched the whole thing, a little painful on the wcg part, but for a person new to wcg GREAT. And after watching that I still don't know why what I did didn't work, unless you have to go back to ripple.com and put in the secret code and I filled in the same account name and password as well... Oh and for those of you who used the secret code to success is that all you did? Just enter it where it says enter code? And it started working in a couple days? If so I should be good then. ![]() [Edit 4 times, last edit by Jack007 at Dec 14, 2013 10:40:40 PM] |

Oh and for those of you who used the secret code to success is that all you did? Just enter it where it says enter code? And it started working in a couple days? If so I should be good then. Here is how I did it. First I joined the Ripple Labs team and registered at computingforgood.org and got a secret account key. Then (eight days later), I went to the ripple.com "create a wallet" page. I created a username and passphrase, then at the very bottom there is this: "Need to use your Secret Key? Use Key". I clicked on that and put in my secret account key. This overwrote a previous old key (I had a previous aborted attempt to do this) and it linked the wallet to my WCG account. When this was done I was able to immediately see my history and that I had been accumulating XRP since I had joined the Ripple Labs team and signed up at computingforgood.org eight days earlier. There was no delay, it was immediate. It showed all the XRP that I had been earning. The computingforgood.org stats page is very inaccurate and many days behind. It is currently showing that I have earned 5,884 XRP while my wallet has 13,158. This all seems unneccesarily complicated. But most of the Ripple folks already had a wallet set up so all they needed to do was download Boinc, add WCG, join Ripple Labs team, register at computingforgood.org and wait for WUs to validate. Many of them are as flummoxed by this as we are by wallets and XRP. There is a steep learning curve here for both the Boinc newbies and the Ripple newbies. |

----------------------------------------The WCG : XRP graph is going upwards still after the increase of XRP giveaway to 1 Million. Here is a SERIOUS suggestion : Currently Ripple Lab announcing the day's giveaway quantity of Ripples in advance each day. I suggest after the end of the day calculate the total points gained by the team members and divide by the CONSTANT 160. So the total giveaway will be a VARIABLE and it will be announced the next day after the calculation. This may give an oppertunity to the members to calculate their XRP according to the computing power and will be able to meet the cost of power and hardware cost. The curent graph is pointing to a great crisis for people who are paying for the computing power. [Edit 3 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 15, 2013 3:57:26 PM] |

The latest news: Team Ripple Labs is now producing 25% of the total daily WCG points. 178,506,780 out of a total of 696,520,147 points as per yesterday global stats. They are also producing as many points daily as the other 9 teams in the top 10 combined. To put some flesh on the bare bones: Ripple Labs contribution as a % of the total work by Project (Active & Intermittent) RunTime Points Results E&OE FAAH & CEP2 have been running for some considerable time before the advent of Ripple so the stats are fairly insiginificant so far, but not a bad start for a team only formed 08/11/2013! Now I have the data capture established I'll be able to provide a 7 day snapshot of the team's activity. Note:

I have correctly ( i think) set up a wallet and linked my public address with my WCG account at computingforgood.org
----------------------------------------I currently have 7000 hours of time logged but have not received any XRP yet. I have written to support of course, but they haven`t replied yet. I think my problem might be an unfunded (not activated) account. Could someone take a leap of faith and send 100 XRP my way at : rBFZ5DF2bsZVuqGwKgbZcynDsRzGkoJzMP I will return the favour with appropriate interest :-) Regards, David ![]() Chrunching for my daughter Julie who has Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva. |
