Good Morning Team. I have decided to run OET exclusively for a while. For whatever reason my points average had dropped from 10,000+ to 8,500 and my performance from 110 Gflops down to 87 G flops. Let's see what happens.

I can understand why running CEP2 in large quantities can stress your hardware. Looking at the Windows process stats, each unit is reading ~11GB an hour and writing ~5.5GB/hour. Hopefully some of those reads (and writes) are hitting the disk cache. I've usually run two in parallel, and these days I use a sacrificial laptop drive (and currently I have four CEP2 units running on my main desktop). I think that might explain why the SSDs in my previous work computer were down to ~20% life remaining after 3 years

Just noticed... I'm one place away from getting in the top 5000 for points. Fame at last! Congratulations to dcrobinson on making it into to the top 5000 points rankings, and also not far from the top 200 United Kingdom points ranking.[Edit 1 times, last edit by scol5913 at Feb 9, 2016 4:55:41 PM] |

I'm about 230 days away from my Diamond 5 for CEP2. It was the CEP project that got me interested in WCG, and I'm determined to get my Diamond 5. However, I have various crunching machines on the go, but only the modern/fast ones are up to the job of running CEP2. It was my first project to get a Sapphire, but I now have several Sapphires and a Diamond 10 for MCM, and it seems really difficult to rack up the runtime on CEP2. Nearly there though ![]()

I reckon if I can afford the electricity I should eventually make it into the top 1000, given my current crunching rate. Next goal is the top 5000 for runtime and results though, and then top 200 for the UK. It's annoyingly addictive.

I'm in the same boat regarding electricity costs as all crunching devices are home based these days but its your stat reports that keep me going ![]()

Good Morning All. Following my switch to 100% OET I am now clearing out the last of the FAH2 - about 10 18 hour WUs to go. I haven't seen any improvement in performance yet but I notice that I now have 72 WUs in PV jail as opposed to the normal 8 or so. I also noticed last night that there were 2 FAH2 WUs in Pending Verification even though the quorum was 1 (they have gone this morning). Most strange.
