Good morning everyone. Congratulations to Mamajuanauk on 500 years of runtime. A mighty achievement.

Good morning everyone.
Not that I am complaining or 'owt but noticed that daily points earned seem to rise quite markedly. This is since I removed MCM from sciences followed. |

Good Morning All. Since moving 100% to OET my stats are now once again in an upward trend (well on 2 out of 3 Macs), I have also hit the short duration WUs that everyone is talking about. Yesterday I crunched 284 WUs - today I expect it to be over 500! Whee.... Heading for the 20 year diamond for OET.

I suffer from the dilemma, RTS48, of being torn between bagging badges and contributing to just my favourite/personal projects (which are CEP2 and MCM). Hence, I'm resisting going down the OET route at the moment.

dc I know exactly what you mean. I figure that I have contributed to most of the projects up to diamond level so I don't feel too guilty about pursuing badges and points. In my opinion all of the projects here are worthwhile - indeed it was for that reason that I stopped crunching for SETI in order to use my CPUs for more humanitarian research. Perhaps I am addicted by the points system but it is probably a large contributor to most peoples 'obsession' rather than for purely altruistic reasons.

Yes, exactly, I agree with pretty much everything you've just said (including, in my case, abandoning SETI and CPDN in favour of WCG). I can't possibly comment on the points/runtime "obsession", other than to say that the next feature to be added my stats page will allow you to do comparisons of two members' stats and badges ![]()

Whey! True competition at last - BRING IT ON
----------------------------------------![]() Actually it's a bit crazy because this morning I was awarded 51,000 points for 10 hours crunching while yesterday I only gleaned 61,000 for nearly 20 hours.

Good morning everyone. Congratulations to Mamajuanauk on 500 years of runtime. A mighty achievement. +1. Has anybody heard anything from mamajuanuk of late? He is very much missed from the team thread.
