Crooks - here's a test I just run...


Rubbish upload, Barnsley_Tatts. I get better than that (18.5) on FTTC, and my ping is only 13ms.

Sorry, just clutching at nuggets of consolation crying biggrin
(and sorry to those still stuck on ADSL, particularly those who don't live in a rural idyll).

According to VM, the ratio for download -v upload is 10:1. So I should be getting around 15mb up, but as I rarely upload, it's not an issue. The ping is usually around the 13ms too. Must have been a bad test - either way as I don't really play games online, again, not an issue!

I have watched units complete and then not appear in results.


I don't understand, AdrianPH. The WUs should appear on the Results Status page as soon as you get them.
Just my 2p'th.


Yes, exactly, they are there whilst in progress but after the job is finished they vanish and my stats do NOT increase.


I have one machine and only one account.

Open the BIONC GUI and you can see what is running and waiting to report.

I have had many small work units that run, but then nothing gets credited . May happen to longer units but the short ones are more noticeable.

This happened previously and I queried it here on the forum. I had 2 OET jobs credited, then 3 more that ran but only one of those were added to my "Stats by project" list.

So I have 3 OET shown as completed not 5 ........... complete 6 more OET but I now have only 5 listed on my stats.

April 26th is an example ..... MCM is running early morning, 4 other jobs get completed by 20.30hrs and a long MCM starts to run overnight, my total for the day is shown as only 2 with 13 hours runtime, 2 OET and 2 FAV run but never get credited or listed in any results status list.

The PC was running 24/7 and always had units running and queued to run , yet runtime is often shown as only 4 hours in a given day.

Try filtering results, I have not had any errors/late/invalid etc.

I am not alone, I read the complaints from others and I know a chap who crunched in his own small team and he and his friends had the same happen.

They now crunch on projects that don't run BIONC.

This does seem very odd indeed. I can only support JonnieB's suggestion to contact WCG support to investigate, if results really are disappearing from your stats then they could also be disappearing from the overall stats which of course means that the project(s) will also suffer.

What you're talking about does seem very odd, but I'd just like to check that you realise that the data for the stats on the WCG site are collected twice a day, commencing at roughly 12:00 and 24:00 UTC. There is also (IIRC) a window of a few minutes after that when completing units are 'held over' to the following update. There is then a delay of up to an hour before the new stats are processed and become visible. Furthermore, some of the stats, I think all those relating to teams, are updated only once per day, at 24:00 UTC. Are you taking this delay into account?

If you are (and it does sound like you know what you're about) then I agree that you should get someone with more clout to investigate your problem.
