Re: Dwindling Output

@jonnieb - I was mostly referring to RT/day but the same could be said across the three data sets, points/results and RT, as you will have seen from my fall in the global 5000.

Strange, I'll keep monitoring...

Re: LunchCrunch Report

Labinopper Bronze BETA

This is one of those moments I'm glad I contribute by Android device too, most of my BETA RT is from Android as the WU's seem to run for 25+ hours on there haha =)

I hooked my phone up and it got extremely hot. Uninstalled it pretty much instantly. Seems a bit dodgy. Any advice?

I have a HTC One with 4 cores, I tend to run it maximum of 3 cores and have a stand for my phone so that its not actually sat down or anything, otherwise try finding some heat pad or something? Heat is a problem, but thats to be expected running it at 100%, depending on the app you use you can downscale your CPU usage so it only uses 50% on 3 cores for instance? will half your RT, but will keep the heat to a safe level... the "Stop when heat reaches 45oC" doesn't seem to work for me so don't rely on that =)

Re: LunchCrunch Report

Good evening team,

Apologies for my absence from the forum of late. Work has been very tough of late and unfortunately I have just been made redundant, so the search for a new job starts!

My performance is likely to drop as I will no longer have access to my work PCs. Fortunately my home crunching will be unaffected.

Crikey Cap'n! The dreaded "R" word, one of the worst words around.
Hope you can get something sorted soon (I really didn't like being out of work for long after my redundancies) and that the crunching can resume in earnest.

@Mamaj - Can't really compare but I don't remember seeing any change in my daily RT when I switched from a mix to MCM. Admittedly my daily usage isn't the same each day but I seemed to keep the average around the same.

@ Clockwork - I've wondered about the phones being used for crunching and the heat generated as the phones at work can get a bit warm when they are charging on the desk while idling, so how toasty they would be crunching confused

Re: LunchCrunch Report

I hooked my phone up and it got extremely hot. Uninstalled it pretty much instantly. Seems a bit dodgy. Any advice?

I tried it with my Galaxy S2 and, despite setting it to use one core at 50% and increasing the temperature threshold from 40C to 55C, it disabled crunching due to the temperature almost straight away.

However, tried it on my Nexus 7 and it can crunch all day long without getting too hot at all. I came to the conclusion that the majority of phones aren't remotely designed to do solid crunching constantly.
