Re: Morning Update II

It would seem that somewhere in Globe Sig processing SNURK uses the free version of TeamViewer. Since it's a free version it has a close out message which he's neglected to cancel before moving to the next stage in the processing. I suspect the underlying sigs are fine, just obscured. FWIW the TeamViewer message says "This was a free session sponsored by TeamViewer.com. TeamViewer sessions are free for personal use. Thamk you for playing fair!"

Re: Morning Update II

Good afternoon team,

I hope everyone is keeping well. I am planning on building a new HTPC when broadwell arrives. As it will be a totally silent PC, I need the power / heat reduction that comes with Broadwell over Haswell as it will be running 24 / 7.

Further to this, I have now decided that a Core M-5Y70 fanless tablet may be a better stop gap measure (also need to replace my old laptop) until the desktop broadwell CPU is released sometime in 2015 (disappointed as I thought its release would be soon). May even wait until skylake and better 4k support.

Any views?

In Other News

It appears summer may finally be over and people are returning to crunching smile As of 18:00 72 team members have returned results today including DerekJGB, jomcd, and neojin after 2-3 weeks absence. It's probably going to be our best day(in terms of numbers crunching) for some months. biggrin

Mamajuanauk - your results are mega impressive. What are you running in your fleet, and dare I ask it, what is the cost?

Thanks, lots of xeon X5650's, lots of xeon X & E 5450's lots of Opteron 6274's, some FX8350's and a few odd processors. Most run Ubuntu and cost a fortune to run and lots of time to manage, but that's the fun!

I'm also in the process of putting another machine together and selling a few off to upgrade some others...

As mentioned previously, I will not reveal just how many cores I run. it's enough to say LOADS!
