In full-on "Statto" mode nerd the impending demise of Ripple's "Computing for Good" has me as Happy as a Pig in Clover! biggrin Not least because producing stats for a team, in which I have no personal interest, with 22,000 members and adding ~100 new members daily is burdensome. d oh

There are various facets to look at, not least of which is the overall effect on WCG's output.

Ripple announce Computing for Good giveaway is being phased out

I think the criticism of WCG implied in #1 & #4 of their issues list is misplaced. sad

If the website changes broke our point calculation system this suggests to me that they were screen scrapping. If so, then they missed/ignored knreed's warning some months ago that this would happen.

I use the WCG API (in XML format) daily and have never known it to fail in at least the 6 months that Ripple has been in existence,

Methinks they are using this to help backup their reason for leaving. It's a couple of convenient reasons to be used.
