For want of anything better to do I've been tracking down the 92 members who have retired from the UK team over the years.

21 have been active in 2014
21 (2 still Active) have moved to small teams (<35 members)
The most popular destination is UK BOINC - 17 (5 Active) followed by Easynews - 6 (2 Active)
5 (1 Active) have joined non-GB teams
Only 2 have been lost to Ripple. One of them 8 years after leaving UK
20 (3 Active) left UK and did not join another team but, with one exception - Feb 2012, the departures were all 5+ year ago.
The last departure - myripp 14-12-13 - has failed to crunch since leaving UK and joining Ripple.

Ripple announce Computing for Good giveaway is being phased out

I think the criticism of WCG implied in #1 & #4 of their issues list is misplaced. sad

If the website changes broke our point calculation system this suggests to me that they were screen scrapping. If so, then they missed/ignored knreed's warning some months ago that this would happen.

I use the WCG API (in XML format) daily and have never known it to fail in at least the 6 months that Ripple has been in existence,
