I have assigned another laptop to my video encoding task. It is only a old Core 2 Duo laptop but it wont contribute much to WCG for a while.

I am starting to save for a X99 Motherboard system when they come available with at least 8 cores.

Good morning team,

I have stopped encoding on my old laptop as it only manages 2 fps vs the 15 fps of my newer high end machines.

I will invest in a new platform when they come available. The next generation 8 core CPUs, X99 chipset, DDR4 and PCIe SSDs should make for an impressive crunching machine. Will drop in a high end GPU when supported by WCG.
