Nice, which model? Looking forward to see what its crunching stats look like!

I finally got around to moving my old file-server into my spare-room, over the weekend, so I can do the planned disk-testing on the three hard-drives that used to be in it and might be on their last legs.

Once that testing has completed, I can potentially look at RMA'ing the disks and then re-purposing the file-server into a crunching box with a nice new AMD FX 8350 "Black Edition" (8-core 4.00GHz) CPU, just to see how AMD CPUs are with general crunching...

Prior warning on potential bad news - it's been queried as to whether the "spares lab" that we run here should be using power-resources at all, over and above a simple test when we put a physical server in place there (ready to be placed live in the event of a failure elsewhere).

As a result, there's a likely chance that I'm going to have to power down my five 4-core VMs, if I can't justify them staying powered up and working, so my work-load may drop even further in the next day or two!
