Re: Good morning everyone

Tom, I'm sorry to hear your news...

For those interested in the MIP saga, Doug Renfrew, one of the project scientists, has started to post with information about the cause of the issues. You might like to read his posts.

Ditto Tom, wishing you all the best.
For those interested in the MIP saga
Thanks Apis, have restricted MIP wu's to two for each node.

For anybody searching for the config location and content (restart boinc after creation):
Linux: /var/lib/boinc-client/projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/app_config.xml
Windows: C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\www.worldcommunitygrid.org\app_config.xml
<app_config>
<app>
<name>mip1</name>
<max_concurrent>2</max_concurrent>
</app>
</app_config>

P.S. Finally broken 1 teraflop biggrin

Re: Good morning everyone

Good evening all (OK it's your morning) Following on from reduk's post, the location of app_config.xml on a Mac is
Mackintosh HD/Library/Application Support/BOINC Data/projects/www.worldcomunitygrid.org
DO NOT FORGET to Edit app_config.xml with a plain text editor. In my experience - when I update app_config.xml I have to reload Boinc Manager from scratch as I always seem to end up with incorrect permissions for some unknown reason.

Re: Good morning everyone

So that was a disaster... Not requesting tasks: don't need (job cache full)
Full of MIP & MCM wu's for which I've limited cores per node to 4... bugger!

Re: Good morning everyone

Good Morning All. A cool day forecast here with much cloud cover - Maximum of 32C. My much awaited bananas did not make it! A gust of wind took the already top heavy plant tumbling to the ground. Ah well - I have two others growing up so maybe next year. My first Papaya is about 6 inches long and 4 inches in diameter. Growing rapidly but none of the other flowers seem to have been fertilised. It's a very young plant (18 months) ad is as yet not as tall as me. I have great hopes.

Re: Good morning everyone

Side-by-side comparison, since my CPU-time stats are vaguely close for all of them:

Microbiome Immunity Project : 2,270,172 : 6,651 : 2:198:16:06:12
OpenZika : 4,107,123 : 11,469 : 2:190:00:02:22
Computing for Clean Water : 2,486,881 : 6,311 : 2:171:01:36:34
FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2 : 2,784,475 : 1,132 : 2:334:00:52:03
Help Fight Childhood Cancer : 3,488,524 : 3,540 : 2:338:19:44:05

It looks like 'Open Zika' works for you Thargor. I have found that SCC and OET were pretty generous for points. I can see that I am going to have to resurrect my statistics spreadsheet again.
