Evening Fellow team members, It has taken only 7 weeks to rack up 10 Million points, The Threadripper rocks. I'm off to Leeds On Thursday, Anyone able to meet up for a quick drink? I'd love to... but it's a 2.5 hour drive away. Also, I'd love a Threadripper, but only if I could plumb the water cooling into the heating/hot water system:-)

Good morning / afternoon from paralysed Santa Cruz. It is the 1 year anniversary of the referendum that said NO to another term of presidency for Evo Morales. Ever since the referendum MAS (that's the currently governing socialist party) has wriggled and twitched to try to ignore the result of the referendum (shades of Brexit?). Today the opposition parties (fat cats, no policy, all for making money and nothing else (aka my neighbours)) have decreed the whole of Santa Cruz to be shut down, no schools, no shops, no traffic, no hospitals, no emergency services, lots of marches etc. etc. It is totally pathetic the way that the average person has their lives completely disrupted when the logical solution is - if you don't like Evo Morales then don't vote for him! Or am I being too simple?

Well, I've temporarily re-added OET1 to my project-list, after noticing I'm only 5 CPU-days away from a Diamond-10 badge!

Good morning all.
----------------------------------------Is it my imagination (or wishful thinking) that the points haul for MIP is improving? I am still running WUs intermittently and only 3 threads / machine at a time. Still there seems to be some improvement.

Evening Team,
----------------------------------------Just added two 40 core (2 x Intel E5-2680 v2 @ 2.80GHz 10 core 20 thread) Debian VM's running on individual KVM metal totaling 80 hyperthreaded cores Curious to see how these stack up against my dedicated crunchers even with performance locked at 90% @330 watts each, at least they'll be helping to keep the heat recovery vam busy and the office warm over the weekend ---------------------------------------- [Edit 3 times, last edit by reduk at Feb 25, 2018 1:07:32 AM] |

Green with envy! I hope that your salary can keep up with the exorbitant electricity prices! They're not too bad at £1.20 per day for the pair @RTS48 and they have to be running as they're designated fail-over members of a KVM pool so in reality, only use an additional 200 watts per hour running at 90% or 68p per day ![]() |
