Good Morning Everyone.
----------------------------------------I'm glad my elevation to No 41 in the UK is now confirmed - onward and upwards! Another nice day in the offing here - had some high winds yesterday but the temperature hit 34C I have planted six coconut trees but I suspect I will have a long wait for coconuts - about 5 years in my reckoning. Temperatures are due to hit 39 at the weekend but I will be indoors watching the Singapore F1 Grand Prix

Afternoon all.
----------------------------------------The works laptop has finished its last WU and after the last unit was validated last night, it has crunched just over 16days RunTime. All helping towards the 10yr target for MCM, 140days RT to go. And as a regular UK topic, had a bit of thunder and lightning this morning. This on the day that I checked the weather before leaving for work and it said it would be a nice warm day so I decided to leave the coat at home. Not looking like a good idea at the moment. Hoping it clears up this afternoon! |

I hope you make it genhos. Looking good I think.
----------------------------------------The promised hot weather never materialised in Malvern, but we had some good thunderstorms. In other news, my recently graduated son has actually got a job offer. OK, so he'll be living at home still, but at least he'll be forced to get up at 7am every day, rather than 1pm!

Good evening all - a very strange day here today - it appeared to be overcast but was still hot and excessively humid. i'm having lots of fun trying to trap a feral cat who seems hell bent on biting all of our domestic and semi domestic cats. I set the trap tonight with some drugged (proper vet stuff NOT cocaine) tuna but unfortunately one of our semi domestic cats found it first and polished it off. I thought we had caught the feral cat and hauled the trap off to the vet - fortunately my partner recognised the 'mew' before we got too far.
----------------------------------------I have baited the trap again and await results! Wish me luck.

Morning all.
----------------------------------------Fortunately the heavy rain showers had passed over before my short journey home. Forecast to be a high 20s humid day today, that'll be fun in a non-air conditioned office. @DC - at the moment it's still loking like I'll make it to 10yr for MCM but as it is around a months crunching left for the project it seems a little strange that there is nothing about it in the MCM forum. Good news with that job offer for your son, although I do detect a little bit of devil in your "but at least he'll be forced to get up at 7am every day". @RTS - wishing you luck in your feral cat capturing adventure. |

What with capybara and now wild cats all we need is balloo. ![]() Ah the Bear essentials (groan) Wrong cat trapped - daughter of our one eyed cat (who needs to be spayed). My partner tried (with oven gloves) to remove it from the trap and put it in our cat transport box (because we need to catch another). Bad Idea! She is now nursing multiple injuries (my partner - not the cat) while said cat has legged it to (possibly) breed again. Back to the drawing board!
