What a momentous day. Very close but that the way it is. Cameron going but not gone sort brought on himself. I wonder who's next. Possibly another General Election ?

Maybe we can get a government who will properly tax big corporations and the rich rather than the disabled. Wishful thinking probably.

Good Morning All.
----------------------------------------Whew what a nail biter last night (I saw it all here as I stayed up until 1 am). I think the only conclusion that I can make is 'If you don't want the answer, then don't ask the question'. Now we all have to live with it. The financial impact on myself is enormous but I do believe that in time the UK CAN be economically stronger providing that we tackle our problems in a mature way rather than moaning about something we can no longer change.

Maybe we can get a government who will properly tax big corporations and the rich rather than the disabled. Wishful thinking probably. Big Diamond 5 in my notices tab this morning :) Congratulations on the Diamond 5. Commiserations on the wishful thinking. We'll probably end up with an even more right wing government than we have at the moment, and more austerity in order to salvage the tanking economy. On the other hand, Labour might elect an electable leader, beat the Tories in a general election called by Boris, and then at least something could be salvaged from this mess (minus the Scots). I must say, as someone who is interested in politics and finance (despite having a proper degree - only joking), these are interesting times.

What you have is two parties completely out of touch with their own supporters outside of London.

Good morning everyone.
scol5913. You have hit the nail right on the head. Where I live the 'retired Colonels and Blue Rinse ladies' seem utterly confused. |
