Good morning everyone.
---------------------------------------- Welcome to the team zombefy Bradley Have to say I am disappointed in the result. FWIW Dave looking at the age breakdowns, it would appear that the 18 -50 age groups a big majority wanted to remain. In some ways I feel that the older generations were too busy remembering 'no bendy banana's and other silliness’s'. In the Brexit camp there were far too many 'fascist / racist' commentaries to allow a more considered opinion. The only consolation I have from the night was that 80% of the eligible voters in my local authority actually made the effort.[Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 27, 2016 7:53:09 AM] |

Good Morning All.
----------------------------------------Rant mode on As I am a member of the age group who voted leave I object to being blamed for screwing the youth of the UK, 61% of whom (18-24yr age group) could not be bothered to vote. If you didn't vote you have no reason to complain. Rant mode off Whew I'm glad I got that off my chest - now on with the crunching. Welcome zombefy

Maybe I should have been more specific as to my disappointments, dcrobinson I am of course not blaming everybody and hopefully not coming across as blaming any age groups, or anyone in particular - just making comments as I see them.
----------------------------------------Warning Opinions Below I'm deeply saddened in the outcome. I found a lot of false information being stated in this referendum, which people have based their decisions for leaving on. As Mamajuana said, the people who don't care but voted out, I personally am disappointed in. Along with the people who have consumed Vote Leave propaganda (my family) without questioning anything or not looking at both sides with open eyes. I feel sorry for the people who believed Vote Leave and their claims of giving the NHS £350 million a week, which now seems to have been a lie. domonijo, it seems Nigel Farage and his band over powered the honest reasons and concerns people have over the EU with their blatant racism and disgusting posters. RTS48 maybe it will be a wake up call for my age group, as we have never been overly involved in politics. There is only a select few who are blaming older generations, I would like to think most of us have respect. To be fair I also HAVE to criticise the Remain campaign as in my opinion it was lackluster compared to Vote Leave. My own consolations are that my home areas of Liverpool and Wirral both had a majority of remain. Welcome zombefy Anyway, off to get drunk. ![]()

There've been some nice badges over the weeked (nice Sapphire Thargor). Mamajuanauk - you seem to have revived you mamajuana persona. Was that an accident? Congrats to all new badge winners. DC No I'm testing my laptop for PPH so the old persona was revived... I have no chance of getting on the performance leader board with my main crunchers, I was interested as to whether or not the lappy would on its own, yes, I'm bored!I don't hold out much hope for your laptop mamajuana. My i5-6600 cores are hitting about 335 points per hour on MCM I reckon. I think my i7-6700 will do very slightly better, but I've not tried running it with less than 8 threads, which on a quad core processor has the effect of slowing them all down by about a third, as well as causing the processor to clock lower. I reckon Dr Orange must be running an i7-6700K, or maybe something overclocked.

Welcome zombefy You can't beat a ranting ex-pat ![]() At least the younger generation can console themselves that their savings haven't been languishing with pitiful interest rates for years, and that their investments haven't just taken a hammering (particularly their shares in Lloyds Bank) because they haven't got any savings or investments, just a large student debt ![]() Not that I'm bitter or anything. I'll just have to make sure I'm at the front of the queue when Boris starts dishing out that fictitious £350m every week. I honestly don't know which is worse - the politicians or the football team (currently losing 2-1 to Iceland as I type this).

Good evening all.
----------------------------------------They say bad things come in threes. So far we have had Brexit, Euro2016exit - what's next? Scotexit or NIExit? Independence for London? Boris Johnson for Prime Minister? I must say there are some bitter sweet videos out there on YouTube. Look out for Boris's HQ on learning of the leave victory. Hilarious but probably the truest thing attributed to the leave politicians. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-a6HNXtdvVQ

Morning All, I don't do football, but even I feel embarrassed...
----------------------------------------DCR - An observation - the team 7 day average is less than my personal 7 day average. How can that be? Run Time Team - 7 day: 551.6 Mamajuanauk - 758 days Are the two calculated on the same sum (algorithm is too much for this time of day!) Or am I missing something? I would expect if the team 7 day average includes all team member results, then it should be higher than my individual result for the same calculation Just for reference, my comments are based on data from the Recent & 7 Day leaderboard pages Please clarify...
Mamajuanauk is the Name! Crunching is the Game!

Mamajuanauk... it's "per day". Taking the current figures...
----------------------------------------Last day: 573.2 days of actual run time Over the last 7 days: an average of 551.6 days of runtime per day Over the last 28 days: an average of 578.1 days of runtime per day The 7 days totals are totals, not averages. Therefore, your 758 days of runtime over the last 7 days are therefore contributing about 108 days of runtime per day to the total. It used to say "7 day average" and "28 day average", but I shortened the words in the interests of aesthetics and making the table fit on one line on a mobile phone. A triumph of style over substance. I notice your laptop has made it onto the performance leaderboard Mamajuanauk. It must be an awesome laptop ![]()

Good morning everyone.
The candidates for the rubbish few days we have had would be Andy Murray to defeated by Broady, who in turn will defeated in the second round, or Sri Lanka will win the next two ODI's and the 20/20. Just feel chuffing awful. ![]() |
