For those of you who haven't watched the GP, who would have thought that Jolyon Palmer would have won it, eh?
---------------------------------------- FYI, I've made some tweaks to my stats page. The way it used to work was that all the data (except for the member comparator) was loaded all at once when you visited or refreshed the page. This causes a bit of a delay. As I add more information, the delay is getting bigger. I now plan to add a complete UK team league table (with overtake predictions and stuff), so by way of an experiment, I've made a couple of the sections (badges and milestones so far) load on demand. You might notice the main page load a bit quicker, but the badges and milestones sections exhibit a "loading" graphic the first time you click on them.

Good Evening / night / morning all.
----------------------------------------Dave, A quick question about the stats. When I look at my record on the compare page I see that my run time / project is 3 years 171 days - however on my SNURK signature it says 3.61 years which is 3 years 222 days - Is there a different basis of calculation?

I don't know how SNURK calculates it, but I would like to think mine is correct! Taking your current figures, which will have gone up a bit since your posting because you posted before my stats run: Runtime = 97yrs 212 days = 97 * 365 + 212 = 35,617 days Number of projects = 28 Days per project = 35,617 / 28 = 1,272 1,272 days / 365 = 3.48 years = 3 yrs 177 days I rest my case, your honour ![]() I noticed the same issue when I produced this statistic, and although I can't be 100% sure, I think it's because SNURK doesn't include beta units at all. However, given that beta units are important to the operation of WCG and still require a conscious contribution, I think it's valid to include them. In any case, mine is a bigger number, so it must be better ![]()

Good morning everyone.
Dave, your predictions were slightly out. Rosberg & Vettel were as called, who would have thought of Perez on the podium. Hamilton did struggle to 5th and I think you are mistaking Max Verstappen with his father Jos, who did crash quite often. ![]() |

Sadly could not hear Hamilton's voice, although could commentator's over speak. Due to deafness (firearms practice every 3 weeks at Bisley /Pirbright (no ear-muffs) working in a heavy engineering machine shop for three years) it is very hard to find a balance of hearing conversations without spoiling other peoples enjoyment elsewhere in the house. The teletext of conversations on live broadcasts is usually about 5 - 10 seconds behind.
All a bit of a bu**er, so I have to deal the best way I can and keep smiling, I am deaf but I am far from dumb. Hearing the grandchildren more than compensates not hearing Hamilton whinging. ![]() |

Not sure how you work out that 3.48 is a bigger number that 3.61 but there you go - I think I have my explanation.

So, Rod, is the lag with my "badges" and "milestones" pages acceptable to someone on the end of a piece of damp Bolivian string?
