Lack of Available Projects

On the My Projects page, the "Available Projects" only shows a total of 2 projects (1) FightAIDS@Home and (2) The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2. In the past, my Projects Page has listed numerous projects. Is this a temporary situation and if so when will more projects be available.

Re: Lack of Available Projects

Hi JFredrick, yes, this is a temporary situation.

GFAM & HPF2 completed unexpectedly early (both June of this year), and along with other projects finishing naturally (HCMD2 & HCC (along with DDDT2 being moved into a Completed state)), this then meant that two other projects (DSFL & SN2S) ran out of work a lot quicker than originally planned. The project scientists behind these latter two, are currently generating new Work Units - and thus, the reason for them currently being in an 'intermittent' state. Once some more WU's have been generated, they'll come back on line. Also, at some point, we're expecting HFCC to come back online - as those project scientists are again, attempting to create more WU's. Currently, the scientists behind the C4CW project, are going through all their results, and depending on what they find, there may/may not be more work to do.

Along with all this, the WCG techs have intimated that a new project isn't too far off from coming through the pipes. As to how long this will be, I don't know.

So, at some stage, yes there'll be more projects to choose from.
