Just added my first (of many upcoming) Opteron Linux box notw that the Linux client is out
4! Opteron 275s (dual-core) 16GB RAM 1.2 TB storage Fedora Core 4 x86_64 Yes I am bragging  . God I LOVE having a development lab! |

Wow, you've got impressive computers.
----------------------------------------BTW: don't you think we should try to contact more ./ers, using the comments in the previous ./ news ? Many then complained that there was no Linux client, but the news has been completely missed this time: there are surprisingly few comments. Yeah I know.. I did a full blown post mentioning all the techie details of the client, but it got rejected. That was long before the post finally appeared. These moderators are so utterly stupid.
Well To all new people who joined: Let`s kick ass! :) Now, if only my client could actually CRUNCH on some jobs. I don`t get any since ages.. |

Indeed, the amount of CPU time given by Team Slashdot members has risen a bit. But I think we cannot do much more, since the Slashdot news was nearly completely missed this time. Resubmitting one now won't yield anything, since it's more than likely to be rejected again... Maybe when the WCG has also a Windows BOINC Client ?
