Boinc for android problem
Hi all
Have just installed Boinc on my smartphone ( Samsung GT-S5690 ) and always get the msg ( event log ) FightAids@Home needs 100mb more space you have 0 mb available.

SD Card has over 1.6 GB free and boinc is set to not use more than 80% space - Keep storage free 0,3 GB --> Which should give boinc more than enough space.

What ever am I doing wrong ?????

How big is the sd card? 20%(use at most 80%) of 16 GB is 3.2 GB, so you would have 0 free

Card is 2 GB large - 1,6 GB is free - Have set to use max 80% - Leave atleast 0,3 GB
Why is 0 mb free for boinc ?
Am I too stupid ? :(

Can you plz post the startup event log so we can read all the device settings... first 20 lines or so after a device start.

There are 3 settings for disk space [on PCs], but dont know what it is on Android. Of those settings BOINC uses the lowest logical. It starts [on PC] with how much BOINC is allowed as a number, e.g. 2GB, then 80% is 1.6GB [coincidence], but leaving 0.3 GB of free space, then nets to 1.3 actual usable [you got that part right]. Also, on the PC version of BOINC there's a button/tab to check actual used space... if you have that, what does it say WCG is using?

You say the disk has 1.6GB free, but BOINC thinks differently:

No idea if you can influence where it installs, nor if SSD space seamlessly merges, could merge with the core storage space, but the log says that the data_dir is at

Data directory: /data/data/edu.berkeley.boinc/client

My 2GB SSD does not on the Samsung. When taking pictures which are about 3.2 MB, the OS warns that it can't store them internal, then puts it on external and that's where I have to browse to retrieve them and move them onto the PC.

Your profile does not allow it to store any info, even though it requires at least 100 MB. Change your profile to allow storage.

Hi! I run Boinc on my smartphone and I try it to run on battery but battery need to be charged very soon because Boinc eats it very much. But I noticed something, when I put my mobile on charger projects are not running, I think when mobile is full charged and left on charger. I have checked box run on battery. Maybe I need to untick this option when I put my mobile on charger?
