I tried to install BOINC on my HTC Desire (Android v2.2.2) and got the message "Your device isn't compatible with this version".
Is there a list somewhere of which devices or Android versions are compatible? |

Per google, pointing to this wiki: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/AndroidBuildApp
----------------------------------------Guess in your case this invokes a ![]() edit: For non-link-readers, the mentioned minimum version is 2.3.4 [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 23, 2013 8:52:12 AM] |

To add, for a possible
, there is also the alternate, older NativeBOINC for Android, which may support earlier versions. This does not mean the science app is then supported, given it's developed based on the BOINC for Android - Berkeley client. Members have reported successful running this NB flavor during FAHV/SN2S VINA Beta for Android. No you have, Yes it could. |

Hello Psylokh,
BOINC for Android requires ARM ABIv5 as a minimum. The new RAZR cpus are good. I can not find the specs for RAZR V1. They are drowned out by current RAZR specs. How old is your RAZR? Lawrence |

Hello Psylokh,
Thanks. The specs say the CPU is an Intel Atom, which should run x86 code, not Android ARM code. I have not heard of anything for x86 on Android for BOINC. Lawrence |
