Re: 24 days of new work remaining for HPF2

Depends on what BOINC client is signaling back to the server, for instance the platform. There's a config to correct that with:

<alt_platform>platform_name</alt_platform>
Specify an alternate platform name, to be included in scheduler requests. New in 5.10.26

IIRC some FreeBSD users had to use this. One thread discusses this <options> function from this post: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=387166

Re: 24 days of new work remaining for HPF2

Is there an update on how many days left there are?

I don't think I'm going to make my next badge as I need 19 more calendar days.

Patrick

Don't forgot to count the work units that you have in "pending validation" status.

I am currently 118 WU days off sapphire and complete 6 WU days / real day, so am 19 days away if I leave all my PCs working 24/7.

After hitting 6 years run time, I released between 300 and 400 wu's back to the pool.

CHART now shows 4 days remaining for HPF2.

I think that is another day less than before

Oddly, my pendings are now at zero. How about yours?

That only makes sense if the re-issue wind down period was factored into the original NEW WU estimate. In other words, 4 days might actually be the true end aside from your individual In-Progress queue, so I'm not expecting much in the way of any bonus days.

Re: 24 days of new work remaining for HPF2

I'm only going to make it to gold on this project. I wanted to take it to emerald, but unfortunately that's not possible (had it on the back burner because it had so many days available sad ). But I'm happy anyway... I had the chance to make it to gold and that's goodness. Luck to everybody, may you all reach your crunching goals. biggrin

Re: 24 days of new work remaining for HPF2

After tonight's update, I am at 1:356:12:46:38 on HPF2. I have 4 pages of HPF2 in PV status (~60 WUs), and am running a total of 13 cores 24x7. I think I am safe for making sapphire. Whew.
