Re: Guest Post: Big Government: An Unnecessary Evil That Should Be Abolished

I'd like to see many changes made but for starters:
1) Voting age upped to 25
2) Before being able to vote proof of citizenship is needed
3) Proof of "some" federal income taxes made so that "you" can show you have a stake in the future of this country.

I'd also like to see a national binding referendum question for mandatory balanced budget and also term limits.

Re: Guest Post: Big Government: An Unnecessary Evil That Should Be Abolished

Yes, that is essentially what Romney said. His point that was missed by many is how the heck can you win an election when 47% of the public is on the public dole and he was right on that issue. That 47% see the continuation of being able to be on the public dole as keeping the Democrats in power and there lies the problem.
Romney just said bluntly what all of us know in our hearts and minds.

Are you aware of what comprises the so-called 47%.

1) Voting age upped to 25

But they can still fight and die for their country at 18?

Yes they can..Making an informed vote and fighting for ones country are two totally separate issues.
During WW2 the voting age was 21 and many millions served in this country that weren't yet old enough to vote.

Yep, it's been corrected now. Where is your information that those under 25/21 make a more un-inform voter then those that are older?
