Re: Guest Post: Big Government: An Unnecessary Evil That Should Be Abolished

Why we should mistrust the government It should come as no surprise that President Obama told Ohio State students at graduation ceremonies last week that they should not question authority and they should reject the calls of those who do.

Re: Guest Post: Big Government: An Unnecessary Evil That Should Be Abolished

but the Dems seem to have this one down pat as their are many more have not's than haves..

Isn't that what Romney said?

income taxes have to go up to pay for that war..

Last I checked, only one party had their hands tied behind their backs about raising taxes. But they lie about that (at least at the state level). They just call them fees/tolls.
One man/woman=$2500.00 donation and thats it..

Sorry, that same party know they can't compete like that!

Yes, that is essentially what Romney said. His point that was missed by many is how the heck can you win an election when 47% of the public is on the public dole and he was right on that issue. That 47% see the continuation of being able to be on the public dole as keeping the Democrats in power and there lies the problem.
Romney just said bluntly what all of us know in our hearts and minds.
As long as you have one party that thinks it's perfectly ok to tax the people who work for a living to give money to those not willing to work the problem will exist as it panders to man's inherent laziness.
Let's be honest. Who amongst us wouldn't like to sit home and have the money just flow in? Nice fantasy huh? The problem is that someone has to work to generate that money and this country has a growing percentage of people who "work the system" to get the freebies. Now so you don't think I am a heartless cold person I beleive that society should take care of those that for physical or mental issues can not take care of themselves. I also beleive in unemployment insurance but not the current 99 week situation. 26 weeks is appropriate IMHO. That is 6 months to find a job and that means a job.Take what work is available and stop this crap of not taking work because it's "not in your chosen field"..Work is work and work offerred with few exceptions should not be refused. Decisions made early in life about the amount of effort you put into your education are also your responsibility. Trust me, the top 5% of Harvard Graduates aren't pounding the streets looking for work. Companies come to them not vice versa. I look back on my own life and the good and the bad times I've seen were all because of decisions I made and I bear responsibility for both, not the government or society at large.
Last, although I am a conservative I have no love for the current republician party. They in their own way are just as bad as the Democrats. Greedy and in the pursuit of power..The party system itself is the biggest issue I see. Legislators no longer represent their constituents but represent the interests of their party.

Are we talking about protecting the Bush's tax cuts for millionaires/billionaires here?

Congresswoman: Benghazi Stand Down Order Came From Obama
Congresswoman and former United States Ambassador to Luxembourg Ann Wagner (R-MO) appeared on The Dana Loesch show and placed the blame, of the stand down order to those that could have offered assistance to Americans under attack, on none other than Barack Obama.

But I've done some math that indicates that, considering the hole this country is in, if you are earning more than a million dollars a year and are complaining about a 3.6% tax increase, then you are by definition a greedy ****. -Bill Maher
