It should still have the computer capability as far as OpenCL requirement goes. The problem if I recall correctly is that it takes too long to start the app. The 520 was in the same boat as the 210 and 8400 series. Since the 610 is in essence a 520, it should be no different. However, I may have misunderstood during testing and it could be a complete different reason. My memory has been failing me as of late.
----------------------------------------I will say that it does work fine at other projects outside WCG. PEOM runs just fine on the borged 520 I monitor. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hi, what's the reason some cards don't have the required functionality?
I've read OpenCL is a must, but my card (GTX 660m) is listed as unsupported even though it supports OpenCL. Cheers |

Hi, what's the reason some cards don't have the required functionality? I've asked about system requirements, still waiting for an answer. I changed my card for one that was reported to produce valid results.I've read OpenCL is a must, but my card (GTX 660m) is listed as unsupported even though it supports OpenCL. Cheers |

Concur. Should I as a participant un-check and exclude Conquer Cancer as a project or just leave the settings along and ignore the Computation Error messages?

Cheers I am not sure, but I have a feeling it has something to do with the version of OpenCL Cheers ![]() ![]() Crunching@Home since January 13 2000. Shrubbing@Home since January 5 2006 ![]() |

I get a message saying that my GPU can't run the project even though I haven't selected the project to be run! Weird!

Looks like also nVidia Quadro K1000M should be added to the exclusion list, all nvidia_hcc1 7.08 tasks go immediately to computation error with status:
----------------------------------------Estimated kernel execution time = 2.47999 [sec] ERROR: Kernel execution time estimate too high, exiting. Pretty frustrating to get hundreds of these tasks constantly only to see them fail immediately. no idea, what is the limit though for the success/fail on this check? hmmm, first try a client 7 version. Linux repos mostly have 7.0.27. If you go to Berkeley you'll find 7.0.28 is recommended momentarily, but 7.0.56-7 might become soon the new "get it now". Also visit the Additional Drivers app to see if the latest NVidia recommended is actually active.
----------------------------------------What I'm missing in your censored startup log, we prefer to see first 35-40 lines, is the second NVidia line to say that OpenCL is loaded. Without that, HCC does *not* go. Don't know what the cut-off quota is for GPU, very high far as I know. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 18, 2013 12:34:39 PM] |

Using the latest BOINC build for the RHEL 6.3.2 from the repositories avail to me, as well as the discrete nVidia driver. Not able to upgrade to the newer releases.

'Fraid we cant do anything. See no OpenCL entry in your system information aka Message log, and the task does fail at start with the mini test to check if the card is fast enough... it is not, given the 2.47999 sec. kernel exec time. Suggest you attach to or create a new device profile for this rig and deselect the GPU option, then save. Then no more HCC-GPU tasks will be send. Else, the server would keep sending [a limited number N], to test if the problem is removed, or the card goes blacklisted,
