OK, where's the list of GOOD/USABLE GPU cards? Here is a list from a WCG Tech. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...ead,34055_offset,0#396388 |

for what it's worth, I have the gt220 and mine crunches but currently is saying that it is 'ready to start' and using connect with bam or do network communication doesn't do anything. time remaining: 01:17:20
nvidia_hcc1 I had too many projects attached and it had been awhile since reporting. |

EDIT2: Ah, here's why. The Geoforce GT 610 is listed in the help as one of the cards that isn't supported for GPU. Thanks keithhenry. Do you know why this is the case? I got the 610 because it had a reasonable price for +20 MHz superclocking. Does the GPU support check for the specific card and not provide any GPU work for the GT 610? I found the following in this thread... The GPU is missing required functionality and can't run HCC. I recently purchased an EVGA GEFORCE GT 610 SC (superclocked) with 2GB DDR3 memory with DIRECTX 11 and PhysX. The part number is 02G-P3-3619-KB and I cannot find that part number on the EVGA site; is it too new. Regardless, I would like to obtain at least one WU for this graphics card so I can test whether it has the problem that earlier GT 610s had. If not, I do not know how you will be able to distinguish a different version of the card. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 25, 2012 9:50:13 PM] |

the 610 is just a rebadge of the 520.

And what does that mean? The part number I provided is one not on the EVGA site while there are two part numbers for 610 that I can find.

Have a read.. http://www.anandtech.com/show/5845/nvidia-lau...gt-620-gt-630-into-retail
----------------------------------------And there are many other sites saying the same and possibly more info with a Google search. I don't know what you are looking for specifically. Video card companies are notorious for rebadging. Edit: I can also tell you that in the US the GT 430 typically sells for close to the same price as the 520/610 cards and is a much better purchase as well as having double the CUDA cores. I think they are typically ~$10 more on average. I have found them as low as $25 after MIR and shipping. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Coleslaw at Nov 26, 2012 12:44:04 AM] |

Well, I did further research on what is on/in the card and drivers, and it specifically says OpenGL 4.2 Support.

The card is basically the same. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |
