Dave --
There appears to still be a bit of the bug remaining. I noticed that the pointer is back at page 1 immediately after posting to a thread.

Your friend and team mate,

Was that 36,000,000 points that the team just ran through? Are they clicking over so fast now that we can't keep track?

smile Hi Dave
How close to a tornado have you come

Graham --

I was within about 2 or 300 yards of one, but no damage to our house or anyone else's because it ran right through a cornfield south of our development. I think the farmer lost a 20 yard wide swath through his field though. I didn't see it because we all were hunkered down in the basement for safety. In the midwest, they set off air raid sirens to warn of an oncoming tornado -- best to heed them and seek immediate shelter! The ones I have actually seen were in Indiana when I visited my in-laws on their farm. They were a couple miles away and not moving toward me so I was able to watch them safely.

Your friend and team mate,

Ooh - That reminds me - I'm from just past the maypole (end of No 50 bus route). Forgot to ring the folks to make sure the house is OK - take it there wasn't too much damage that far out???

Hi gang, any news on that dual core processor?
I’m thinking of getting a new PC this fall or next spring.
Is dual core worth the extra money?

smile Hi Rejean
I have read quite a lot about them and I posted some info here:

First Tests: AMD's Dual-Core Chip Delivers Real Power Boost

biggrin I will see if I can find some more current info for you

Thank you Graham., I already read that post. Very informative. I was referring to recent post from a WCG member if not a MOT member who just got himself a new dual core processor PC. And I was wondering if anyone got news from him on its performances with WCG work units.

Back to work on Monday after 4 weeks of vacations. I’ll have to restart a couple of PC that went off line probably due to power failures sad

Regrads .

Leave Buckshot a message to give you his his comments
I know he will be glad to oblige

On the bright side, I just installed a new machine with the dual core Pentium D ... each core is rated at 3.2 Ghz. One runs 100% on Rosetta and I use the other one for stuff like this and web site development/programming/goofing off.

Kind Regards Mates
