Re: smile smile Join MyOnlineTeam Today smile smile

Graham --

Glad you came out of it unscathed. I have seen quite a few tornadoes back in Chicago when I lived there. The midwest of the US is hit by lots of tornadoes -- mostly in the spring. Now that I am in the southeast, there are quite a few here as well, but here they come with hurricanes and aren't given that much press since they are spawned by the hurricanes.

Your friend and team mate,

Hi all --

I just posted in the JTS thread that I had noticed that WCG techs have corrected the error that left the position pointer at page 1 when you went directly to the end of a thread. This might let us grow our team threads beyond the 500 or so we usually start wanting to close at.

Cheers Arnold

Graham go for it I think there should be enough room on the C Drive.

Glad to hear you are OK. It's not every day you get a Tornado in Brum.

Was the weather bad up there all day or did it arrive out of nowhere?

Maybe there's something in this Global Warming I was beginning to think they were making it up as it still rains during Wimbledon every year right on cue.

Dave

Hi gang, any news on that dual core processor?
I’m thinking of getting a new PC this fall or next spring.
Is dual core worth the extra money?

smile Hi Rejean
I have read quite a lot about them and I posted some info here:

First Tests: AMD's Dual-Core Chip Delivers Real Power Boost

biggrin I will see if I can find some more current info for you

Graham --

I was within about 2 or 300 yards of one, but no damage to our house or anyone else's because it ran right through a cornfield south of our development. I think the farmer lost a 20 yard wide swath through his field though. I didn't see it because we all were hunkered down in the basement for safety. In the midwest, they set off air raid sirens to warn of an oncoming tornado -- best to heed them and seek immediate shelter! The ones I have actually seen were in Indiana when I visited my in-laws on their farm. They were a couple miles away and not moving toward me so I was able to watch them safely.

Oh, that is, until I have contributed that many WHILE being a member of the team? I have 63,000 personally, but do those not count for the team?

EDIT: Ah, ok. Got it now.

PS: Thanks for the stats thing, and I changed my sig until further notice.
