We are very close to starting our internal alpha testing for GPU on Linux and OS X. With the general issues flushed out on Windows I would expect the alpha testing to go smoothly and there should be beta for Linux and OS X soon. Thanks, armstrdj Wonderful news I will be waiting with baited breath. I have a GPU I hope will be strong enough and hope all goes well. I wish all the staff smooth sailing in the alfa testing. Thanks, armstrdj I had been waiting for this because my wife has a Mac with a 5670 which is currently crunching cpu only. However she has decided that she no longer likes her Mac and is going to get a W7 machine. The good news though is that I convinced her that her new i7-3770k will also need a 7970, so I'm looking forward to adding that to the stable in a couple of weeks. |

OK glad to see Linux GPU Beta has started. Any update as to when the Mac GPU test starts? I saw we have an new CPU HCC test for Mac so some beta testing is going on. I would have run the CPU test but I am currently cache full for CPU tasks for the next 10 days due to 2 CPDN WUs on BOINC v7. No new CPU work until cache falls below min cache.

The below quote is from an article dated Nov 27, 2012 but just noticed this post that a GPU app for Mac is on it's way. Here's hoping my HD7770 Cape Verde can be put to good use in the Mac.
As noted by netkas.org and in our forums, the initial beta release of OS X 10.8.3 seeded to developers yesterday contains drivers supporting AMD's latest 7000-series graphics cards, including the high-end "Tahiti" options. The development has naturally sparked speculation that Apple is starting to build in support for graphics cards to be used in the all-new Mac Pro coming in 2013. http://www.macrumors.com/2012/11/27/os-x-10-8...00-series-graphics-cards/ |

These items are preventing us from performing a beta test for GPU for OSX. |

It is worth nothing that the team would VASTLY prefer to have been running the GPU beta test for OSX then working on those items....
