@ retsof- You can't run all of you CPU cores at 100% and run GPU tasks at the same time. That's what is causing your computer to lag. Set your preferences to use 83% of your CPUs and that will leave 1 to feed the GPU. Yes you can, I do it all the time running WCG at 100% on all 4cores and Collatz on GPU, no problems whatsoever. The percentage you set to free up a core depends on how many cores are in the machine. I'm done. It's now at 0%. At about that time I got a blue screen and a disk inconsistency. It wanted to check the integrity at next bootup, which I did, but the boot had problems. ATI wanted new drivers. It also said that it wasn't running a real copy of windows. (There is a known bug for that one.) It did not like any of my restore points either, and also would not recover to the factory default. Another option was to read the backup disk, which it didn't want to do. It probably has some bad tracks now, and can't find the boot sector. I saw a few more blue screens complaining about memory management. The Virus checker also had some serious problems and was not recoverable. I finally got a restore code of 0xe0ef0003 from trying to restore the factory image, and a request to call HP support. Not now. It's late. I'm on the slow 2 core machine. The 6 are inactive now. That is a recognized code that can be Googled for, but one website offering a fix also has a Trojan Horse in it. The OTHER computer with the OTHER virus checker trapped it. It told me to make the recovery disk on a flash drive, which I did previously. Now, HP expects it to be a DVD+R or DVD-R and did not bother to read the flash drive in the recovery. Another inconsistency.
