So Exit 293 is an issue with the BOINC client? Can this be submitted to the BOINC dev team (DA)?

Kneed, any way you could resend the wu that errored out to another cruncher with an identicle GPU? Starting to wonder if other system configurations (ie low memory, small PSU, raid, etc) causing the problem. Or Email the person to ask for system configuration?

I expect that some of the errors are due to overclocking too.

So how many more beta tests can we expect?

Issue: With all of the cores (6) running at 100%, I tried a couple of these GPU betas. They dragged the computer down to not usable otherwise and I had to turn off graphics computation for the future.

@ X-Files 27-What version of BOINC are you using?
----------------------------------------@ retsof- You can't run all of you CPU cores at 100% and run GPU tasks at the same time. That's what is causing your computer to lag. Set your preferences to use 83% of your CPUs and that will leave 1 to feed the GPU. @Bearcat- FWIW I looked at all the resends that came my way. They all had one form or another of the errors listed in this thread but they all validated for me. Some had 3 error/invalid results before they got to me.
In 1969 I took an oath to defend and protect the U S Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and Domestic. There was no expiration date.

Set your preferences to use 83% of your CPUs and that will leave 1 to feed the GPU. I wondered about that, but where would the gain come from, a GPU faster than a core? I am finished with the HCC project pre GPU, and only got a few GPU betas to try to see what issues may arise. This is one issue, it seems. I don't want to leave a core open all of the time when other projects are running. I could go back to graphic processing and then knock it down to 83% if more HCC betas come along. I suppose. I would have a few days in the buffer queue to notice them.

I do not think it is necessary to leave a core unused to allow for the CPU portion of the GPU work unit because on Windows the GPU work unit runs with a priority higher than other BOINC tasks but lower than normal Windows tasks. This can be observed in Process Explorer.
