WEEKLY UPDATE - based on work averaged over the last 8 weeks:
----------------------------------------Current Batch - 43693 Projected Days Left - 26 Projected End Date - August 15, 2013 Experiment Completion - 86.71% Projected WU remaining approximately 7,123,275 With the start of the new experiments, it has made the estimating for experiment 41 much more challenging. The results for the experiments are now intermixed so I am now depending on the batch numbers from experiment 41 to track its progress. The projections are for the time when I anticipate the final WU will be issued, not when they are returned. On my systems at the present, I am showing about 60% of the FAAH units to be from experiment 41 and about 40% are of the VINA variety. Remember the estimates are subject to change as the flow of other projects and experiments changes. Cheers

Another perilous prognostication.
----------------------------------------WEEKLY UPDATE - based on work averaged over the last 8 weeks: Current Batch - 44180 Projected Days Left - 17 Projected End Date - August 13, 2013 Experiment Completion - 90.87% Projected WU remaining approximately 4,100,000 to 4,800,000 Fine print - exclusions - general waffling: With the start of the new experiments, it has made the estimating for experiment 41 much more challenging. The results for the experiments are now intermixed so I am now depending on the batch numbers from experiment 41 to track its progress. The projections are for the time when I anticipate the final WU will be issued, not when they are returned. On my systems at the present, I am showing about 40% of the FAAH units to be from experiment 41 and about 60% are of the VINA variety. (This has flip flopped from last week.) Remember the estimates are subject to change as the flow of other projects and experiments changes. It will be interesting to see what day batch 45253 begins to be issued. Then there will probably be several days of repair jobs as the queues are gradually depleted of these AutoDock jobs. Cheers

I see this is the first time FAAH has had more than 1,000,000 results in a day. This, I am quite sure, is due to the VINA application getting a greater percentage of the total WU than the AutoDock application. Now with the resumption of the SN2S project, FAAH will probably slow down as some resources will be moved to the other project. According to a previous post by uplinger (I think) there were about 10 days of Experiment 41 WU left as of 08-10-2013. This may extend that a short bit. We'll see.

Final (I hope) perilous prognostication.
----------------------------------------WEEKLY UPDATE - based on work averaged over the last 8 weeks: Current Batch - 44700 Projected Days Left - 7 Projected End Date - August 11, 2013 Experiment Completion - 95.30% Projected WU remaining approximately 1,750,000 to 2,400,000 Fine print - exclusions - general waffling: I am showing about 523 batches remaining to be issued, although as I have watched the batch progression, I have noticed sometimes they are not issued sequentially. This means the estimated time for the last batch to be issued is subject to error. It is also possible the highest number batch will not be the last one issued. At any rate I believe the last batch should be issued next Sunday, August 11 for Experiment 41. Subject to change of course if the techs change the feed ratios. We are coming in to the home stretch. Crunch on. Cheers

Question for the researchers:
----------------------------------------Is there any value in re-running the earlier batches of Experiment 41 with the newer AutoDock 7.15 version? Not VINA but the AD that is 64-bit and processes more data per work unit. It seems like it wouldn't take very long (at our current rates) to redo the first part so that all batches are on the same version. Or are those CPU cycles better spent on new VINA calculations? -Steve Edit: Corrected version # of AutoDock [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 10, 2013 7:47:01 PM] |

It looks like the last new batches for Experiment 41 will get issued sometime on 08-12-2013. The latest batch I have is 45173, that would be 80 batches to go. It looks like I was at least 1 day off for "Last Batch Day."I am guessing there will be several days of fairly steady repair WU's after that.
