Of course I've selected other projects and my computer is crunching all right...
But at this time, no answer from "officialdom" about CEP2 problem, not even "we're looking at it"... |

In my case, the smaller files have all uploaded well, it's only the larger file of each wu that isn't uploading.

Same here, I still have the large files to upload on a couple of systems. I have been getting fewer and fewer CEP2 tasks recently. Some systems got none for days. I thought these were high priority, so as to fill the cache of users selected number of tasks to run on each system? Perhaps this was known about/expected (CEP2 server changes). Begs the question, how many WCG projects are actually issuing tasks at present? Of those that are, I keep getting a pile of one type, then a heap of another... seems very inconsistent. While I respect the servers need for issuing groups of tasks, I would like a nice even mix of tasks (as this is optimal for crunching). Perhaps consider altering the start times, some how - if I get 8 HFCC tasks, these will all start one after the other. I want to be running CEP2, HFCC and at least one other type of task simultaneously. Just a reminder that the CEP2 files go to a different server (in a different location), so any issues there will not impact on other projects here. This has been exhaustively explained several times, to include by knreed why the feeder distributes the way it distributes. Either you roll up the sleeves and join development at Berkeley to implement server & client side distribution load balancing algorithms, or accept that you cant have everything the way you want it to be, at WCG. |

Add me to the list of user experiencing the exact same problem. And well past dawn. Are they awake or not?
