If you wanted to do all of them in a reasonable(?) amount of time, say ten years, you have to do about 54,794,520,000 WU per day. This works out to about 634,195 per second. Both numbers being impractical at this time with known resources, so I am sure the scientists are using some method to pick out the factors they wish to investigate.

I'm sure we'll have enough WUs for at least a year. It's my understanding that we can stay on the WCG as long as we like if there are still interesting WUs to create.

Thanks ry99 for confirming that we've got at least a year's worth of crunching for your project. It'll help those (like me), who set goals for each project.
----------------------------------------As to how long you can stay here for, as long as you like As you may be aware, there are two very long standing projects already (FA@H & HPF2), who've been here 7 and 6 years respectively. |

Think I'll go with my own envelope side here on... it's called "open ended, subject to change without notice" which is what FAAH/HPF2 really are. Sit up when there's the famous "30 days work left" advise ;).

Guess I can switch gears a little a try to rack up my badges on HFCC because of this news.
Thanks ry99 |

Bump: Does seem like here at the 2000 milestone mark and the 4 fold+ speedup just tested, the Feluka on the Nile [and hard to see Giza in background] has to be fitted with an outboard engine: http://bit.ly/WCGCSW
----------------------------------------Crunch on. --//-- P.S. Don't be shocked as something else goes dropping too for a little [lest there is human intervention]. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 6, 2012 8:57:15 AM] |

Thanks, but I meant... Any meaningful data other than the bargraph showing approximate progress.
