silly
The best drink in the known universe is the Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster. It has the effect of having your brains smashed out with a slice of lemon... wrapped around a large gold brick.

If you want to survive out here, you've got to know where your towel is.

But if you survive, the answer is 42. wink

Re: "Computing for sustainable water" vs CFCW ?

The CFSW project will launch publicly on April 16, 2012 and will be available for execution on the World Community Grid, a network of nearly 2 million contributed computers. The model runs in the background of these volunteered computers using otherwise idle cycles and not interfering with the owner’s applications. There will be over 1.3 million experiments distributed to computers on the World Community Grid, each requiring approximately 7 hours of computing time.

As it is now the 17th I suppose it was all an April Fool,.........just a little late!

Re: "Computing for sustainable water" vs CFCW ?

Hello everyone.

So much DEI (drive, energy, and intelligence) wasted here in beating an already-dead horse* -- the same DEI that would have had high chances of being soaked and next put to good use had the CFSW launched as publicly-announced** on 2012Apr16Mo.

Notes:
*The 'horse' as centered on Geokamayoc's views/opinions and the method used by Geokamayoc to express them. The 'dead' refers to the last paragraph in Geokamayoc [Apr 16, 2012 11:30:29 AM] post which reads: "But I hurt a huge sensibility , so, I won't continue on this way" -- clearly, a call-for-a-truce signal. cool

**Not by WCG, but by some external-to-WCG webPage . If WCG is not amenable to this date, why didn't WCG oppose the publication of this date? Granted that there are/were legitimate reasons for the delay, what did WCG do to have those reasons known publicly? There goes WCG's penchant for silence yet again. cool

We all can learn from this going forward. Failure is momentary; Success, enduring. Calm, cool, and collected crunching everyone! cool
