confused Unrequested tasks from C4CW

I have my device profiles set for receiving work from CEP2 and GFAM.
Nevertheles, since this morning I am receiving tasks for C4CW and no other project. Tried aborting these unrequested C4CW tasks, but I just ended up receiving even more C4CW tasks.

Any hint on what can be hapenning here?

Re: Unrequested tasks from C4CW

In your device profile, do you have "If there is no work available for my computer for the projects I have selected above, please send me work from another project." ticked?

Nope, it's not ticked. I checked it before posting ;)

Can you post some of the log showing these downloads?

Did you attempt to re-save your device profile during your attempts to fix the issue? I'm trying to determine what settings were in place when you were getting the c4cw work.

If you could post your messages from the client that would be helpful also.

thanks,
Kevin

Re: Unrequested tasks from C4CW

The problem seems to be sorted out now...

I had to restart my computer, and in the process I've also updated BOINC Manager from 6.12.34 to 7.0.25. Right now I'm getting work only for CEP2 and GFAM, as requested in the device profile.

knreed: Yes, I played, shuffled, re-saved the device profile and that still didn't work. Tried different project combinations to see if there was any change but to no avail; C4CW kept on comming even though it was never ticked.
I can't post the messages from the client since I rebooted, sorry. There is one thing I've noticed though: all the C4CW tasks I was receiving were short term tasks, i.e., only 4 days to delivery, instead of the normal 10 days. However, checking their properties, none of them were re-sends from previous failed attempts. They seemed like brand new tasks... Weird!
One example: c4cw_target05_209449064

But it seems to be sorted now, somehow... No harm done. ;)

Historical messages are available in your boinc folder: STDOUTDAE (a text document).
