Re: "Computing for sustainable water" vs CFCW ?

Gentlemen, Do you know intangible heritage or traditional know how ???? Too many research programs have already answers in common sens and intangible heritage. In my university, 3 researchers have had money for a 2 years research program to show "scientifically" that children with sports activities are in better health ...... !!!!! ;-) it's so stupid !!!!

I KNOW as a Scientist that you are NOT saying that one study is enough! Because that would mean that Aspirin IS the ONLY pill anyone EVER needs for any disease EVER, because that IS the results of a study done in the 50's! And Autism is caused by the shots given to kids to prevent disease, RIGHT?! NO IT IS NOT, that study too was proven FALSE!!! How many times have YOU run a test and the results were NOT what you expected them to be, TONS AND TONS I would expect!! The reason you do a test is to prove your ideas right or wrong, if you have no clue then what are you testing?!!! The reason EXPERIENCED Scientists get lots of grants is because they have LOTS of past experience producing RESULTS! If I don't have a plan there is nothing but guesswork and no grant is involved, people aren't going to pay for someone to 'play' and 'see what happens' very often.

IMO the more the merrier as far as Boinc Projects goes, the MORE Projects the MORE people become involved and the less wasted resources go unused! Personally I would like ot see Boinc installed on EVERY pc BY DEFAULT, during the OS install process!!! Then let the user decide what Project to sign up for!! Oh and you DO realize there are DOZENS of Projects outside WCG, right?! WCG is an EXCELLENT place to find Boinc Projects, but not the only place by far!!

Re: "Computing for sustainable water" vs CFCW ?

I just wanted to open a small window into the methods of science, its limits (a true scientist know science is truly limited) and the need to use ressources with common sens.....

But I hurt a huge sensibility , so, I won't continue on this way.

.....and I doubt your credentials. Anyone with a decent education knows it is "common sense", not common sens....

Education aside, common sense suggests that no group of people could choose 5 projects out of a group of 10 to be completed 'first'. The only way to do that is if you knew what the results were going to be before you completed the research.

Common sense is the renewable resource in the most limited supply on the planet, IMHO.

Well, is YOUR education decent enough to tell him that complain of yours in Japanese, as that is apparently his native language...

Maybe not, but it is decent enough to correct your "complain" to "complaint". wink
